Chickpeas with Grandpa's bread

Bread:

Mix the dry ingredients for the bread at home and bring in a bag. Pour the oil and water into the flour bag. Mix into a dough. Shape into cakes and roast in Grandpa's Fire Grill.

Stew:

Mix the spice mix and bring in a SnapBox. Lightly fry the sliced garlic and chopped onion. Add the spices and let everything fry for a while. Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer. Add the chickpeas, cook until hot, and season to taste. Serve with a hearty yogurt and the grilled bread.

Tip!

  • For a child friendly version, use half the amount of chili flakes.

Bread:
3 ½ dl flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 dl water

Stew:
1 yellow onion
1 clove of garlic
400 g can crushed tomatoes
380 g tin/box chickpeas (230 g drained chickpeas)

Seasoning mix:
1/4-1 teaspoon chili flakes
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
