LIGHT MY FIRE ONLY USE SAFE BIOPLASTICS!

Recently, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority has brought forward concerns about melamine plastic crockery in which bamboo and corn flour are incorporated. Light My Fire products contain none of the aforementioned substances and have been extensively tested, meeting all safety requirements set.

CEO of Light My Fire, Calill Odqvist Jagusch said, “There is an important discussion in the media about bamboo and corn flour in melamine plastics being harmful. Our products are not made from either of these components. Our products are 100% safe and migration tested in compliance with both the FDA and the EU Food Approvement Standard.”

LIGHT MY FIRE CURRENTLY USE 3 TYPES OF BIOBASED PLASTIC:

TERRALENE: Made from certified sugarcane and wood fibre waste from certified European wood that adds strength as well as wonderful texture and smell to our products.

ECOZEN: Made from European GMO-free corn starch. This provides strength and heat resistance.

DRYFLEX GREEN: Made from certified sugarcane in two different densities for strength and hardness.

These plastics contain the highest possible biomass percentage whilst meeting product usage requirements. Check website for full product material composition.

Everything Light My Fire does, regarding materials, packaging, and manufacturing reflects a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility based on a genuine drive to be part of positive change.

A long time ago, a great human being said, “Be the change you wish to see in this world”.

We couldn’t agree more.
